Mitch Erdel Director, Congressional Affairs

Mitch Erdel brings more than a decade of experience in politics and on Capitol Hill to KBS. He has worked in the trenches on numerous political campaigns at the local, state and federal levels.

Erdel began his career as a key member of Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference Roy Blunt’s political and official U.S. Senate operations. There he served in legislative and political positions in both Washington and Missouri, including as the Coalitions Director of Senator Blunt’s successful 2016 re-election campaign.

Immediately prior to joining KBS in 2018, Erdel served as a principal advisor to Missouri Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer where he acted as the Congressman’s policy advisor on health care, commerce, telecommunications, transportation, infrastructure, energy, agriculture and trade policy.

A native of Mexico, Mo., Erdel is a graduate of Westminster College in Fulton with a degree in History and Political Science. He resides in Washington, D.C.
