KBS Leads AmCham Indonesia Capitol Hill Door Knock

For the second year in a row KBS led the American Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia’s (AmCham Indonesia) door knock on Capitol Hill. KBS and the AmCham Indonesia leadership met with Members of Congress and key congressional staff on the importance of the U.S.-Indonesia relationship. AmCham Indonesia represents more than 600 members from 250 companies who have invested more than 60 billion dollars in Indonesia in the last 10 years. These companies also made more than 9 billion dollars worth of exports to Indonesia in 2013.

But unlike Illinois, Missouri had paid a Washington lobbyist to help persuade the government to build the new National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Western headquarters in North St. Louis.

The City of Kansas City, Missouri recently won $20 million from the Department of Transportation’s Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) discretionary grant program.  568 applicants, totaling $9 billion competed for the funds.  Kansas City, which received the largest award in the country, was one of only 52 winners.  The funds will be used for the City’s new Streetcar.
